clutch is squeaking...HELP! kind of long

it just started to happen a few days ago. every time i press the clutch pedal a sort of high pitched yet soft squeak sound is made. also the i can feel the clutch pedal feels different than before like it got harder to press as well and when i press the clutch, it isnt smooth going in...kind of choppy.
If anyone has any idea on what it can be please anything is appreciated.
btw, i have a 95 with 95000 miles and i believe the clutch has been replaced previously but i bought the car a year ago and i ahve no record.

not sure, but maybe low on clutch fluid, clutch cable rubbing on some other parts. Maybe the nuts and bolts connected to the clutch pedal need lubricant. Im no mechanic but thats what i could come up with. hope it helps. Try to get down to the clutch pedal and push it with your hand. maybe you can point out where the squeaking is coming from better

It's a hydraulic clutch..... but... if you look down at the top of the tranny on the drivers side kinda buried... have someone pump the clutch inside. You will see a little black rubber boot looking thing that is moving. It's the mechanical end of the hydraulics. There's a pin on a small hydraulic cylinder that's engaging a metal fork piece that goes down into the transmission. This is the pig that squeels. Grease it up really well with some hi-temp grease. It's really hard to get the grease on the joint. q-tips and small fingers help. It'll only last for awhile though and you'll have to do it again....

I think he means on the inside of the car...

Mine does this as well in the inside of it. When I first mash it and right when I release it.

#1 worn out throw out bearing/ pressure plate fingers are wearing down and probably causing friction against the bearing and that explains the squeek. Or......

#2 this squeek happend to my brake pedal but same can go for the clutch- on the clutch theres a sensor(looks like a little black rod that pushes in) and it is a switch that lets the car know if the clutch is in or out and sometimes those switches squeek for some reason when they are pushed in. there should be one on the back of the pedal near the firewall and theres also one on top thats in front of the pedal. If it is the switches squeeking then you would only hear it when the pedal is either fully pressed or when its all the way out.

It sounds like it's in the car but if you get under the hood you'll realize what I was talking about. I used a lithium-based grease intended for brake calipers. Any good grease will work though. The hard part is getting the grease between the acuator pin and the lever going into the tranny. Just keep squishing it in there and alternately pumping the clutch. Don't have your fingers in there though while the clutch pedal is being pushed! You'll know you get it when the sound is gone and the pedal nice and smooth.

But it only lasts a couple weeks.

This is my problem. Only when its all the way pressed or depressed. How do I fix this?

are you positive its the sensor? have you gone under there and pushed the sensor with your finger to hear it? anyways you can replace that sensor. its threaded on to the bracket of the pedal and its has a wire plug on the back of it. sensor is proabbly like $14 new maybe.

Nevermind. Wrong thing. I dont have that switch. I just took it out. Maybe my pedal needs some WD-40...
