Anyone ever park their car on a hill (25-30 degree hill) and the oil light comes on for a sec or two when you start it?
Is this normal? Never see this anywhere else (When on a flat plane or similar).

have you checked your oil level? my old 90 would do that because oil would slowly disapear, but yet wasnt noticable burning any oil giving off smoke or fumes. id carry a quart of oil in the trunk and fill it up some on the rare occasions that the light would flicker.
good luck

That's exactly what my 95 is doing according to Nissan. The oil is slowly disappearing without any leaks or other signs. Did you notice anything else happen due to that, in the long run - like loss of performance, etc?Originally posted by BadKarma99-4spd

No leakage nor oil loss. I changed my oil 3K miles ago and still has the same level, and I'm going to change in 1K more. (synthetic). Yet, I think the oil light has to do with it being parked on a hill. Must be a pretty bad angle. I don't normally park it on a hill, but when I do, the light goes off when I start it for a few seconds.
Maybe just a weak pump, or an ill-designed engine. Well I don't expect Nissan to account for every possible scenario we can put these cars through.
