New Custom Dash Came Today!
I had Woodview Dash make me a kit using the Acura Black Marble finish. Just got it today and it looks sweeeeeeeet!!
The edges are so smooth and the overall finish is top notch. I'm headed to the Body Shop after work today to get the old Joshua Tree Denali kit out and install this one.
EDIT: PICS !
Here's my car in the shop, the Devilbiss Expert paint booth in the backround. Were putting a new epoxy floor in it this weekend. That paint booth is the heart of the shop!
This is what your dash looks like after pulling and scraping off the old dash. The 3M stick tape leaves gorilla snot like glue all over it. You've got to really work to get the dash cleaned up for another kit. I don't think you'd ever just want to take a kit off and go back to stock. Way to much damage happens during this process.
Here the dash cleaned up and a nice blister on my thumb later. Took a good 2 hours to get to this piont.
And the finished product.........

I installed my own dash kit. Its tedious but not hard. Get an good screw driver and perhapes something with a sharp edge to get the old kit off and scrape off all the glue then use alcohol or another remover to get the surface clean. After that just stick your new dash kit on.

please note...
if you guys want to remove any dash kits... bring the pieces in the house and use a hair dryer... this will make the job a piece of cake...
I removed my dash piece around my middle vents. Took me like 5 minutes without a screw driver. Only needed a bit of my nail.... Then I used an eraser to remove the little litle bit of sticky stuff left over

I generally dislike all the different dash kits... I think they make the interior look a little over-done. This black marble, however, seems to blend in real nicely. I may have to swing by your neck of the woods and see it in person.

Where did you buy the kit and was it custom made? The dash kit seem to fit really well compared to some of the aluminum kit that many ppl have. Its not offset at all. Does the place where u bought ur dash kit make aluminum dash kit? If so can you hook me up with the info. I would really like to buy an aluminum one.

Got the kit here ----> http://www.autodash.com/index.lasso
The Manufacturer is Woodview. I had the kit special ordered with that Black Marble material. It matches the interrior perfectly, blends right in. Just what I was after!

Is your kit a flat kit or a molded kit? Its too bad this site doesnt show how each dash kit will look on a maxima. I really want to see how the brushed aluminum dash kit they offer will look on a maxima.
