350z Rims
350z Rims
Alright after much thinkin I've decided that I really want to go with the Z rims for my max. Anyways I went to the nissan stealership and the guy told me that they wouldn't work right. He said the brake rotors and calipers might not fit right and the tires may hit the wheel wells, althouht the guy that I'm buying them from says they fit perfect on his 5th gen max. Any ideas, because aren't 6th gen rims and z rims similar and if 6th gen rims fit shouldn't the Z ones also. I mean there isn't that much diffrence, any help appreciated.
Yo, if this helps -- the guy was probably saying the wheel width is mad wide compared to 4th gens, but my wheels are wider than 350z wheels. Why? Cuase I'm dumb, and I like feeling the road, but the point is that they won't hit your wheel wells. You can go up to 8 inch wheels at least, maybe 8.5 before they hit, and if I remember right, the 350z wheels are no wider than 7 or 7.5. I guess if I am wrong someone will school me soon enough...

Thanks, thats what I was thinking lol, but anyway I think I will go for the rims. Im gonna go to another Nissan dealership and find out from them and Im gonna make it look like I want to buy it from them hehe, maybe they will let me try em on....... doubt it but mabye
Yeah, with that extra tire-road contact, your breaking and control will be better, and we all know that leads to crashes... You got the idea. Take off to another dealership just so people that dumb don't get your $$$
oh and why would you rotate 8.0 width and 7.5 width, just make sure the tires arent' directional and just swap left to right and replace as necessary, thats the best way IMHO (this coming from a guy who has 300zx tt rims on his 240)
but im sure getting same width tires would work too whatever floats your boat

I say swap left to right and go non directional. good to fit the tires to the rim than fit the tires to wanting to rotate front to back.
