just had my oil changed and i had them put in the high milage oil from castrol.figured it might help out since i just went over 80k.but now it seems to be running rougher and a bit louder.also when i step on the gas i here a small knock.not all the time but uasaly when i first drive it.not sure how to explian the sound but it just sounds louder and running rougher.im also waiting to get my tune up and fuel system checked.the freakes around here are trying to charge me 136 bucks to change my plugs.$#%@ them i will do it my self.i also put in stp fuel treatment just to hold off on the fuel system checks for a while.any idea about whats going on with my engine?

 

check for codes on the ecu, even if there is no CEL on

 

change to a diffrent oil, and i did my spark plugs and it started misfiring, found otu the ignition coil went bad, those ****s run about $80/each, so be delicate with it

 

Did you put in enough oil?

i didnt do the oil i went to jiffy lube and they did it for me.but i will check and if there isnt enough in there im going back and kicking some major @$$.i have this horrible feeling that going to a jiffy lube or something and they forget to put the drian plug in.that would suck.but i checked that.i also picked up a haynes manual to help me with the plugs.i figure i can get double plat for cheap and i wont have to pay the 76 bucks for labor.

 

Go check the oil RIGHT NOW.
Those guys @ jiffy lube that make $4.00/hour don't know anything! Probably drained the oil and filled the tranny.

 

i wouldnt put it past em but i did check my oil level.im gonna try a different oil.wich would be best.like i siad i just went over 80k

 

HEY! The first time I did an oil change at age 17 I accidentaly drained the manual tranny and therefore WAAAY overfilled filled the engine...
