help with PU bushing on control arm

hello

I am in the middle of changing the bushings on my control arm and i was wondering if u remove the metal ring around the cylinder to make the pu bushings fit?

The smaller front bushing will have a metal sleeve on it's outside. When pressed out, the metal sleeve wil generally stay, while the rubber gets ripped out. You will need to grind a slot along it's length to relieve its tension... and allow it to come out. You can use a small grinder, or carefully use a sawzall or hack saw.
