but, they do look cool for show cars and such

i like looking old in my maxima, you get away with a lot more, trust me.

I think it would be cool. I always wanted to do it. Every since i went to a car show. But i guees the thing to avoid is people saying yur trying to make ure car too ricey/ or a f&f car.. but I think they look cool.. If you do get neons get bright ones and alot of tubes.. ive seen cars barely glow.. if i got mine i'd want that b*tch to blow like a freekin christmas tree.

i have the gold kit under my maxima... its kind of hard to hide under the car so no one can see them the back tube is easy but the front and the sides are a little more difficult. I like the look of the lights but I also hate the stereo-type that comes with them, I solved it by only using them at certain times... Using blue you might want to think about the legality of it, blue is a "reserved" color in the US for police, they can bag you with those lights for impersonating an officer and a bunch of other lame stuff...Good luck in what you choose, i like em, just got to be careful in where you run them and when.

only when you are in movement. when you are stopped its fine to have any color. HOWEVER, some cops can be sticklers, and even site you a ticket if you have your car ON and the lights ON. Odd, i know...

i dunno about other states, but in illinois, they're illegal if you're driving. if you're stopped in a parking lot, driveway, or whatever and have them on (even with the car running), they can't write you a ticket.

What some of my freinds do so they don't forget to turn them off as soon as the car is put into gear it automaticly turns the lights off. This is on some civics though so not sure how possible it is on a Maxima. I never really saw the point myself with Illinois snow would probably rip one off on a speed bump or something stupid.

I have the red kit on my car. It looks soooooooooooo good. I dont drive with them I only turn them on in parking lots or other places. I also have neon lighting in my interior and they are hidden under the dash and the seats. Durring the day my car looks stock but at night if I choose to turn my lights on it makes my car look so hot. I took it to F&F night with my friends (we all have underlights) and we got so many good responses for the way our cars looked. I say it's worth it just for that.

I bought a Street Glow Gold Series white kit a few months back and before I even received the package, I changed my mind and decided it was too ricey.
If you like how they look though, get some.

Please, please, please don't deface your car like that. If I see that neon on another car again, I think I'm going to have a coronary. Between Altezza's, dual exhausts on four-bangers, ridiculous Uncle Ben stripes and stickers and neon, I think the HWY's have gotten a whole lot uglier. However, I think neon does look good in speaker enclosures, so I'm not completely an old fuddy-duddy. I'm not trying to flame you, but I would just advise against it, on an taste basis and the fact it is both A. against the law while driving in many locales and B. if not against the law, attracts the attention of J.Q. Laws.

I installed these at my work on a guys car. We hook the ground up to the parking brake so that the brake has to be up in order for the lights to come on. You may want to do that just so you don't forget and leave them on when driving (which I've done before).

Peace - Chad

mine are wired into my alarm system so they only run when a door is open, this way they act more like the lighting systems on expeditions and stuff to light the way when you open your doors to get in. Plus it looks tight when your picking up a date and the door opens and everything turns red.... I'm working on getting them wired to the keyless entry so when i hit the unlock they turn on with the remote, I got the inners to do it, but haven't had time to rewire the under kit.
Good luck
Ryan

well you guys have made my mind go in seperate directions so here is what im going to do.

Im going to buy the undercar neon kit in "white" <---thats color is legal in chicago even when your driving (so i yellow or amber) and im going make a seperate switch so i can turn them off or on whenever i want.

As for the car being to "ricey" concern Hey I like RICE .
