I have an automatic 98 GXE. When I start the car, it usually makes a squealing sound like a belt or something dry and spinning before it gets lubed up. I had read before about a similar problem, but whenever I click on the search link it tells me I don't have permission, so I'm asking you. Anyone have this problem or know of a solution?

 

Most of the time, this has been related to the starter.....

 

Yeah, your starter might need to be regreased. www.motorvate.ca has a nice write up on that. It's easy stuff.
