red bulbs in corner lights...legal?

I'm talking about the corner lights, ones next to the headlights not the bumper lights. Is it illegal to have red bulbs there?

I think you'd be asking for trouble with red in the front.

It is illegal according to my cop friends. But my girls audi has had red corner and red sidemarkers on it for about a year and a half and she has never been pulled over. just depends on whether or not the cop wants to mess with you i think. small issue having red corners unless the cop doesn't like your look to begin with.

its definately illegal. However, does anyone have REAR red turn signals, instead of amber ones?! Just curious, might try that...

I better remove them then. You guys think amber bulbs in the corner lights would look ok?

Btw, does anyone know which type of headlight bulbs would be best for overall visibility? Including in the rain? I don't care if they don't look as "cool".

^ eh, yeah definatly... I really hope you knew the answer to that before you posted it. And to the original question, yeah, red or blue lights on the front of you car is asking for trouble. Pretty much anything but amber or white is illegal on the front of a car.

Red on the front = incredibly stupid.

Red on the rear probably isn't illegal since a lot of cars have that from the factory...but **** that. I will never buy a car with red turn signals. They're ****ing dangerous...at a glance you can mistake a turn signal for a brake light and vice versa. US should require amber turn signals like other countries.

Yeah I kind of knew having red bulbs in the corner was illegal. Just wanted to make sure. It would make my car look dumb too probably. At least I didn't go out at night yet with the red bulbs. Anyway, I just put in the amber bulbs in the corner lights and surprisingly it doesn't look too bad.

Now about the headlight bulbs...I should be able to find the Sylvania Xtravisions at any auto part stores right?

I just bought the Xtravisions at Auto Zone. I put them on already, but haven't test it out yet, it's not dark yet here. Since I got amber bulbs in the corner lights, I also changed the factory sidemarker bulbs to amber bulbs as well. I got to admit, I'm not sure what to think of this setup. I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but it's something different, that's for sure. A change is good though.
