Stillen Intake Question

I just installed my Stillen pop filter and have a kinda silly question. I like the sound for now, but don't know if I'll like it in a month or two since it is kinda loud. Is there any way to make it quieter? Also, since the stock box is gone does air still get feed through the ram air looking piece on the front of the hood or is this piece worthless now?

As far as the sound goes, that's pretty much it. You can try adding a midpipe to it, but I can't imagine that changing the sound much. Why don't you like the sound. It should be unnoticeable under normal driving, but really come to life when you floor it.

The ram air piece left over is useless. Remove it.

It's only loud past 3.5k rpms. If you drive normally and hear your intake, you must be a really aggressive driver I don't think there is a difference if you leave the bottom portion of the air box in or not. I just took mine out.

I'm sure your intake is quiet under normal driving conditions, what are you worried about?

Hey...now that you have an intake, how about a ypipe

Ya there is, don't floor your car, if i'm going at partial throttle, I can take it all the way up to redline and barely even hear the intake.

a midpipe will make it sound meaner and a little bit louder. I too was worried about the sound at first but everyone loves it and i cant get enough of it now, nothin sounds like a VQ.
Mod On.

Yeah, after driving around a little more you can keep it quiet. My buddies love the sound at WOT I guess I was just hesitant since I like to stay quiet.
