It started about two months ago my car would die almost everytime I would let go of the gas to slow down at a red light. I came to the org to get help and most replies referred to the MAF sensor. So I replaced it. Now it doesn't die anymore. Now about a week ago it started to do something weird, I would get to the stop light to a complete stop and the car stays on rpm's around 600 which is normal, but when I step on the gas to go it hesitates sometimes for even 5 or 6 seconds it doesn't do it all the time just sometimes. When I step on the gas the engine just doesn't react the rpm's stay at 600. I replaced my spark plugs and gas filter recently so I know is not any of those things. I can't think of anything else can anyone Help me out? I also cleaned my thortle body about 8 weeks ago trying to solve my previous problem.

 

Another thing. My car is a 96 and I replaced the old MAF with one from a 97 model but I don't think it matters.
