After having leather seats, I will not ever go back to cloth. Agree with mtmz, no power.

If you put in leather seats, you may find that you slide on leather ones a lot more. I find the side bolsters too shallow on my leather seats. I have an SE. I slide around too easily & wished I could stay firmly planted when going aroudn corners. The only way is by doing the auto-x trick in locking out the seatbelt (credit: mzmtg ) On the "plus" side, leather seats are really easy to clean.

I had a 3rd gen SE with a black leather interior and manual seats. I now have a 4th gen with tan cloth interior and power seats. I'd take ANY leather over ANY cloth ANY day. But I also would not give up my power seat ;-)

Sorry........ but seriously i have black leather interior w/ 5% tint, Its very "luxorius" inside and brushed aluminum enhances it nicely! People say it gets hot..... I live in San Antonio and wont ever get cloth again. Well maybe when i have some kids or a dog or something?

Only problem with cloth is that the stains show up so nicely....... And cloth generally looks bad anyway and the static electricity is a pain in th e backside too

Depends on your climate I guess. Leather does look nice. But my past two cars had black leather and they were literally a pain in the *** during the hot and humid NJ summers. They also froze my *** during the cold winters. I'm not a fan of leather. The seats in benzes are pretty cool..they have fans that cool as well as heaters.

Yeah.... that is a cool feature in the new Benz...... I also like the Go Card they have.... Its a proximity card you carry in your wallet or pocket, and when you get close to the car, it unlocks the door and steering wheel. You get in, put on your seat belt and touch a button on the shifter, and the engine starts. Check it out on the Mercedes Website

I have two kids under 10. Leathers seats are a joy to clean up actually. Like the one time my son spilled a 1/2 can of OJ in the rear seat! It remained as a little pond until I blew away a whole box of kleenex soaking it up. Had that been clothe, I would've been cleaning a lot longer!

I hate leather, it gets all wrinkly after a few years and living in florida, when I get back in the car its really hot. My max has cloth but my mom's truck has leather and my dad's old max had leather and I hate it. The cloth looks great forever if you keep it clean and it isn't sticky like leather

I lived in Tampa Fl. for over 20yrs and now im in San Antonio Tx. Its actually hotter here belive it or not. My black leather is fine though. Before I had tinted windows yea, it got a lil hot but nuthin unbearable. Plus my skin never touches the seat. I wear shirts and I usually dont wear dazy duke shorts....usually. But my wife does say its hott on her legs sometimes???? I dunno it feels fine to me. I think if you condition them they will look fine and not get those dramatic creases in certain areas. The worse leather seats always belongs to really overweight people who never condition there seats and has untinted windows. As far as having a "sticky" problem, well um.......... im not sure what to say about that

I've sat in lots of leather-equipped 4th gens and I must say the quality of the OEM leather is pretty sad. It's way too slick and I can see why people complain about sliding. I've got the leatherseats kit and the leather is very grippy compared to stock. I don't slide around. I had the charcoal cloth and it compares nothing to my black/charcoal setup. It's like driving a different car and it really sets off the quality of the interior. I also found that the seat felt more bolstered with the leather kit (probably because of the new foam backing).

I agree that Nissan's leather in their 4th gen's stock sucks nuts... I'd rather sit on lawnchairs bolted to the ground... Keep cloth or go leatherseats.com leather...

I would say, "depends on how many miles are on your max". If you have low mileage, go for it. Low mileage is anything under 150000. High Mileage, save for a new car! No power. Even though I have it, it wouldn't be worth it to add on.

Leather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter...

but it looks good all year round.

I'd never get a non-leather interior. Our seats are definitely too slippery, though. Especially right after you clean them... people in the back seat slide from side to side when going around turns.
