I know most of you don't have limiters... I'm talking to the ones that DID.

Did anyone here do this mod??

http://64.252.156.63/tails/bensecumod.htm?

I did it last night (my car is 95GXE).
I just put a switch in the back of one of the compartments in the centre console.
I haven't had a chance to test it properly, though I did flip the switch.
I haven't thrown any codes and my speedometer still works.
If I understand things correctly, I should lose my speedometer and I should through a code for the 'speed sensor'.
I 'switched' the PINK wire with BLUE stripe.

I'm wondering what results people on the forum had after doing this mod?? Did your speedometers continue to work?? How long untill your CEL came on??

thanks in advance,

dave h.

I did this mod- with a toggle switch as well.
I tested it before and consistently hit the speed limiter at 118mph.
After the mod, I got to 125mph on two back to back runs, before I ran out of road.
I accidentally hit my switch one day and about 15 minutes into driving the CEL came on. I put the switch back to the on position and I reset the ECU and no CEL since.
Speedometer still works fine, as does cruise control etc.

I've done it with a toggle switch. Have had it for a year, wityh no problems. Simple to do, too. Took me 10 minutes.

Just as a side-note, steer clear from me when using this mod...I'd rather not have to follow this mod with the "body-bag in your Max" mod.

As cracked as I may be... The safety and respect of others is always the priority!

I'm a firm beliver that non of us have the right to inflict anything on another that does not appriciate it... be that mental agony (from silly driving, etc.) or physical harm. Accidental or otherwise.
I'm not big on body-bags either!! (never liked the smell---especially close up!!)

Your speedo will still work. The wire goes from speed sensor to speedo to ECU. I just got the Greddy RSM. Gets rid of speed limiter and looks cool too!

Do you have any links to your Greddy RSM?? I'd like to see it!
Forgive my ignorance here, but what does it provide for you?? (besides speed limiter removal) and what does it cost??

Thanks,
