auto tranny slipping after vb mod?

auto tranny slipping after vb mod?

my tranny was slipping after i installed the vb when i overfilled the fluid. when i drained and then brought it up to a normal level everything was fine for 2 days of rather spirited driving from every light. now yesterday i lost all my gears again incluiding reverse, and it is now slipping till 1,300rpms instead of the 1k rpms it was slipping at before? maximum tunning never called my back on monday like they said they would, and now i get a message that they are closed till the 16th.

is my tranny in danger of being trashed due to the slipping if i continue to drive it or is it just a minor annoyance that i can just deal with untill i get it resolved?

Don't drive the car. A slipping tranny will ware down the clutch packs quickly.

You could remove the valve body and try to reinstall it. I've heard that if it's not seated correctly up in the tranny, it causes weird shifting such as what your describing.

thanks i appreciate it, but unfortunatly not driving isnt an option. its slipping less, as the car will pull foreward slightly when in gear but not as hard as if the car were running fine. i still feel the car slip a little. im going to try running a tranny diagnostic and see if that turns anything up.

Have you installed a tranny cooler? It's highly recommended with vb mod.
