I have a starting problem when I start the car in the morning only when the engine is cold it takes around 2-3 tries to get it started. After trying to fix it myself I finally brought it into the Nissan Stealership and they told me I need $700 worth of work done. $200 for spark plugs, $369 for fuel pump regulator, and $100 for fuel ignition cleaning!! The fuel pressure regualator costs $80 alone.... how hard is it to install by yourself?

They got you good. Try replaceing the $15 ECTS first.

 

After spending $95, I was hoping for a good answer but they said it's all three. They said all three are the problem but they said it's "probably" the fuel pump regulator. The only thing I gotta outta them today was a half way decent car wash. Tomorrow I will replace the spark plugs and have the fuel injectors cleaned... but if anyone can tell me is it possible installing a fuel pump regulator but yourself and how to do it I would really appreciate it.. thanks.

 

You are throwing money away. Try replaceing the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor. The one for the ECU, not the one for the guage. Lots of people have solved a hard start this way.
