As for install, I'll let you know when I get mine next week

The install is very simple. The screen has a video out and three wires. I only connected red 12v and black ground. The screen will slide right into the double din space and all I needed to do was tighten the frame and it is fine.
You will need to wire a switch to turn the screen on and off if you connect the orange wire.
If you do not use the orange wire, you will need to modify the trim for the eye for the remote to be exposed.
Perhaps some others can post a little info on how they installed it.
Total installation time was about twnety minutes with most of that time spent taking apart the dash and reassembling it.

What year maxima do you have? Reason I ask is the install you dipicted above is a far cry from I experienced myself during installation. The tv is in and working fine, but the process was not cut and dry at all. I HAD TO modify the plastic surrounding my screen in order for it to fit, there was just Nooo way it would have fit otherwise. Install as you mentioned caused the dash piece to bend slightly inward causing gaps around the sides where it meets the Screen. The only explanation I can could up with for these sort of differences w/install is model year. Mine is a 97 and I know some of the newer (maybe even older) models incorporated slightly different HU's, and perhaps even the bracket that held the HU's in place. There's even a difference between trim Levels in the same year i believe, besides the obvious Bose and nonBose HU's. I think THIS is why some people have been having problems and others have not. Let me know!
P.S.- I think the factory settings on the Screen are fine. that said, do you really think being able to use the remote is necessary if you've rigged a switch? Im thinking of doing just that, but maybe I missed something.

I have a 1997. Do you have the screen edge on the front of the trim piece or behind the trim?
I have my screen mounted so it sits behind the dash trim.
BTW, I have a 1997.
