Spring Creak/Pop after lowering?!? Help!!
Spring Creak/Pop after lowering?!? Help!!
Yeah, well, i dropped my front yeaterday with B+Gs, getting the rears done today. But i noticed yesterday that my driver side pops when i turn my wheel. Is it because the spring isnt settled right?! does it have to be taken off again?! Or will it just go away?! It annoys me, just curious if anyone has dealed with this before...
Heres a quick pic of the drop (should drop more, only one day old)...

B&G springs are very thick and are difficult to seat in the upper perch. I usually seat the spring in the rubber ring first, then place the upper perch onto it.
Reasons for your pop:
Spring not seated correctly in the upper perch
Upper perch not clocked correctly - the word OUT must face out or be in line with the lower strut mount
Strut bearing binding - you can gently pry open the bearing, clean it out and regrease it with wheel bearing grease
Worn out spring isolators - One should be on the bottom coil and one on the second one down from the top coil.
Make sure the spring is not upside down either, the writing should be face up, not upside down.

Damn, ok, thats alot of stuff to look at. It only pops like once when i turn each way. I guess i will have to take it out again and look at it. It wont just go away on its own dammit?!

I think it's the strut bearing needs to be regreased or get a new one.
