[mad] muffler tips [/mad]

I just got back from picking up my car from now the 3rd place to have my muffler installed. 1st place didn't know how to do it 2nd (Meineke) screwed it up, and their cheap weld job fell apart...now the 3rd place, whom is supposed to be an excellent custom exhaust place now has my tip sticking 6-7" past my bumper...looks like a friggen tail on my car.

Question: I had a muffler tip that didn't say resonated or anything on the packaging put on..but inside the tip it had dime size holes on the inside the tip. I never thought a "resonated" tip would muffle a muffler. I have the Dynomax Super Turbo, and it is as quiet as an OEM now. I like the sound before he went in and fixed it..nice rumble, low tone. Now I wished I had never brought it to him. The only thing different besides new hangers and welds, is the tip (resonated). Do these stupid tips really work? The mechanic has taken off for the weekend...good thing he wasn't there..I am p!ssed

what the hell is a resonated tip? You mean like the ones that came on the MAX stock, where there was a bigger tip over the actual tip???
