same as in my book. thanks for the help,
Hey i got a question. u think if someone, say a dealer ship jumped my starter to get it start instead of turning the key. You think that would have caused this to blow or whatnot.

I have the same problem...
However, I did NOT perform a search before diving into the dash. I pulled the mid section out of the dash and checked the switch (which was ok, the Haynes manual has the switch termainals backwards). I made my way down to the blower motor to check things out... and FINALLY discover the resistor was bad after checking the resistance of each element.
It SURE would have been nice to have performed a search FIRST!
Oh, the car has the original in-dash 3-disk CD changer and cassette... The CD player quit working some time ago, as did the tape player. Now, only about half the buttons on the radio work. I was confused about everything before today. I tilted the center dash assembly forward, and it sounded like a friggin' piggy bank! Turns out, our toddler aged son made a habit of putting coins in the CD and Tape slots!!!!
Oh well, time to order a resistor... and contemplate what to do about the radio.
Parenthood.

Ok when you remove the glovebox and your looking into it, ill see the rubber glove-like thing over the motor but theres no way to really take it off without tearing everything apart.. any ideas??

It's easy to get to without taking the glovebox out. Directly under the glovebox, there's a plug on the bottom part of the heater/ac box. Unplug this, then take the two phillips screws loose. It will pull right out. It will have a 'credit card' looking thing attached to it that goes up into the slot.
It only takes about five minutes or less to change. They cost around $27 plus shipping.
Good Luck!

Yes, it's plainly visible directly below the glovebox. Just take the horizontal wiring connector loose and unscrew the thing it snaps into. It looks like part of the housing, but it is the resistor. It will then slide right out.
Mine is a 98' model.
Good Luck!
