Question on 5spd conversion

On Hal's website he states that your need to recreate or get a spacer from nissan thatgoes between the master cylinder and the flywheel. I have seen them before on other cars so I have an idea of wheat he means but he states that it need to be 3/4 of an inch thick. Is that measurment right, cause thats kinda thick. Also does anyone know the part number for this spacer so I dont have to make somethin on my own.

Yes, 3/4" is correct. This is done because if it is mounted flush with the firewall, the master cylinder will actually be compressed somewhat and will be slightly engaging the clutch. Just think of this. The spacer spaces out the clutch pedal 3/4". Well, if you take the spacer out, the clutch pedal will now be 3/4" closer to the firewall/master cylinder, which will be slightly engaging it. I hope that I explained this easy enough for you. I used metal "bolt spacers" that I got from Lowes/Home Depot. Very easy.
