how do you hook up a kill switch? what do you put it on? the fuel pump or something. does the switch have to be able to handle a large amount of current? thanx

tap it into one of your ignition wires and mount it somewhere no one could see or find it

pull your fuse box out and find the wire on the back side of the fuel pump fuse ( the wire that goes between the fuse and the fuel pump, not the wire that goes to the fuse. This way your wiring will be fuse protected.) Cut the wire, attatch wires to these two ends and run them to whereever you wish to put the switch. I suggest locating it inside youe fuel access door. this way it can only be accessed by getting inside the vehicle, and is also not exposed where it can get damaged.

Think easy. The fuel pump fuse is in the kick panel. Buy an inline fuse holder, and a switch the same rating as the fuse. Wire it up with some small spade terminals and you're set.

The point of this is, when you leave your car parked in a parking lot, or in your driveway, you flip the killswitch, and people who don't know it's there can't steal your car and stuff because the car won't be getting power.

na, my buddy who is a BMW tech gave me a kill switch from a new 328 off the truck. he said all you have to do is hook it up to the starter instead of the battery, that way when you hit the switch you don't kill the power to your whole car just the starter. my .02

ok in reply to above, to clarify things.
The kill switch hence its name is meant to kill. you have a few options of ways to kill ur car so it doesnt run. its really simple, if ur car isnt getting fuel its not going anywhere, if ur car doesnt start in the first place(starter) and its an auto she isnt going anywhere, but remember if u just disable the starter, and its a stick, a quick push, drop in second.... that car is gone. makes sense right? so the only tru kill switch will either disable the fuel-via the fuel pump, or the actual ignition system, not starting. say making sure the spark plugs dont fire???
