Aftermarket alarm question

My friend works at best buy and he said he could hook me up with a 500$ alarm for around 260 w/ install. I told him that mine had an immobilizer and he was like you will need two keys (I lost my first one) and the install will be more expensive because the guy would need to install an immobilizer switch something or other? I really didn't know. At the moment, I don't remember the name of the alarm. All i know is it is one of those pager alarms. He also said I would only have to pay like 200 because his bday gift for me would be 60. I really didn't know an alarm would go up because of this immobilizer.

Thanks
-Mark
