What hardware is availabe for constant ECU/engine monitoring?

I am looking for some piece of hardware, perhaps with an OBDII connection, that I can use to constantly monitor all the internals of my car. I don't want to adjust anything, just monitor things such as Air/Fuel, Timing, voltage, Temperature, and anything else possible. Then, I want to be able to plug this same device into a computer and view and store the information.

If there was anyway to plug a laptop into an output port on the car, and via software on the laptop do the same, that would be even better.

I want lots computer gadgets in the car!!

Thanks

There was a thread a few weeks back detailing the pros and cons of various programs/hardware available. I think the thread only talked about palm pilot/PDA-compatible programs. One off the top of my head is Pocket Logger. Basically it's a program that run on any PalmOS PDA, and it comes with the necessary hardware to plug into your diagnostic port under the dash. Monitors ignition timing, fuel trim, etc. There are others available as well. Do a search here for Pocket Logger to find that thread. If you are not allowed to use the search here, try a search online to find out the options.
