hawks HPS vs raybesto QS (wilwood Q compound pads?)
what pad should I get? I'm running on raybesto QS and they have about 20% left got to do pads shopping soon.
I've read mixed reviews on hawks HPS here. Some say they don't dust some say they dust a lot, same with noise some say htey make noises and others say they're silent. on custommaxima or hawk's site they claim that is it virtually noise free and rotor friendly is that true?
Right now the raybesto are silent which I love but it doesn't bite that hard. I plan to go auto-xing soon and I go to the 1/4 track once in a while.
Do they last as long(or short?) as raybesto QS? they lasted me 1.5 years of normal braking with about 30 times 90mph to 10-20 stops at the track (automatic)
I dont know what to do, get another set of raybesto (like $110 canadian they're expensive here) or hawks HPS which is about $100 shipped here.

To give you a perspective:
3 week of Hawk brakedust accumulation = 4 days in Porterfield/AP Racing pads.

I might go with hawks HPS but I need another opinion from people with stock caliper / brembo blank. If they're quiet on stock like caliper like raybesto then I want them

I'm happy with my HPS pads. Don't see anything wrong with them. My rims are really dirty so I can't comment on the brake dust. But mine are quiet and they do stop pretty well. I think brake pad noise has a lot to do with the install sometimes. You have to make sure you use that brake quieting spray.
