brake fluid is above max line & need to compress piston

I need to compress the piston in the two front calipers and the brake fluid is slightyl above the MAX line. The screen in the container prevents me from removing it with a straw/turkey baster. How can i lower the level to the MIN line so I can compress the pistons and not have the reservoir overflow?

as long as you dont leave the resevior exposed to air to long, your gonna be ok.. Either way with or without screen your exposing the fluid to air which over long period of time will abosrve moisutre from the air. The screen should snap off, im not sure how to remvoe but observe it and remove it with common sense. m I doubt its weled to the lip of the tank
