Dumb Question about the shift boot...
I was driving back to the office today at lunch, and I looked down to notice a corner of my shift boot was popped out on my shifter... I then shifted to 3rd, then 4th, and by this time, the whole boot popped out... is there a quick way of fixing this without having to take apart anything?
TIA

Your ring could be broken on the boot. I'd suggest popping out the plastic trim and lifting it up and securing the boot under there. It doesnt take very long I can do it in 30 seconds.
B = Boot/****
-/|= The trim
1.Pull the trim up (make sure not to tear off the front part)
2.Look under it to make sure the metal ring that holds the boot is secure...
