I feel so bad sometimes. I look at my car and say it needs a lot of clean work. I mean the fact that its a older car and in great shape for the year it is.... But still I always find something wrong with it. I want it to be on the front cover of import tuner. So I can show the ricers what a real car is! And I see the cars in movies and in magazines and they are so clean. Why can't mine be that clean?! But Im trying to justify Real life vs. Hollywood, and I simply cannot do that... Do you guys feel discouraged sometimes???

Ahh.. you want to be on the cover of a import mag and you have stock wheels, orange clears, stock suspension etc..............?? Plus add to the fact that maximas aren't really the "in" thing(thank god).

I'm glad that a Maxima isn't in every import mag. I like the fact that most of the ricers I run into don't know the potential of the Maxima.

But at the same time, I feel what you feel. There's is always something that needs to be fixed or touched up or messed with on my car.

If you need time to save for rims, I don't know how much you'll be competing with the people who have time, $$$, and sponsorship.

I feel so bad sometimes. I look at my car and say it needs a lot of clean work.
Get some soap, a bucket, a mitt, and some wax. OK, maybe not as funny as intended to some, but...

Do you guys feel discouraged sometimes???
How old are you? I'm sure you have plenty of time to build up that hollywood-ish show car of your dreams. Think of it as a goal that you'll work at achieving. Do you get discouraged at every long-term goal that you can't automatically achieve in the snap of your fingers?

I feel discouraged in general with cars sometimes, but not in the same way I don't think. Mainly in the generic 'love-hate relationship' kinda way

Amen. Im 16... I dont get discouraged often. I just have expectations. Im working 50 hrs a week trying to come up with coin... I just wish i could get all of it for free.... I dont want a ricer car.. I love my car.. I just want it to look even better.

I plan to get clear cuts... Red/White Tailights... Y pipe... Exhaust... Frankencar intake .... Cams... Stillen Supercharger... 75 shot of Zex Nitrous.... Rims... Springs... Shocks.... All that stuff.. but it takes money and time which is ok... I just wish I could have it all. I already have a kick *** system coming next week. 2 12" audiobahn Flame subs. 1100 RMS each and 1200 Watts Peak | 2 JBL 1200.1 Ams (1200 wATTS @ 2 OHMS)| Fosgate Capacitor| Deep Cycle Battery | Pioneer HU | I already have 10" mtx subs in there....

Atleast you have a Maxima at your age. I remember when I was your age driving a 20 yer old car .
Also what you don't see is that the people that own these cars are somewhere from 20-40 and either they get it for free or they make lots of $$$$.
Just be happy your sleeper can smoke all the ricers

my first car was a Tempo that stalled whenever it wanted that car smoked.. literally.. it was burning oil...... if you want a max for show start with the clears and red/white tails its the cheaper mod and does wonders on the look, then go with a drop, wheels, then the stillen kit.. in that order... if u have anything extra put it to the intake, exhaust, y-pipe
