They're In !!!! H&R - Tok Illuminas
My Setup I had installed today was...Tokico Illuminas + H&R's + Motivational strut mounts. Let me tell you...it = one INCREDIBLE ride. The car drives so smooth, and I can feel the road inperfections LESS THAN I COULD WITH OEM!!! The Illuminas are twin valved, and ajustable. I have them both at approx 50% right now. I was predicting much much much harder of a ride...but to tell you the truth, you would never known I had suspension work done today while riding straight down the road. That is until I hit a corner, and the car takes it effortlessly.
This is not a setup for Auto-X'ers...this setup is for the tuner, that loves comfort, enjoys a lil spirited driving (conditions permitting)now and then, and wants their car to sit a nice 1 1/2" lower. I could not be happier with the setup. I can't wait to play with the settings...these things can get extremely tight if I want them to..or eqaul to blues
I want to thank Tom and Drew for all their help. I have been trying to find my suspension for over 2 years now...this is it..and I absolutely thrilled. Thanks guys.

The only thing I had installed were the struts, shocks, springs and dust boots (TRW - Thanks n2oMike). Bearings and other misc parts I reused. Cost was 750 for all above mentioned parts. I just went out for a cruise and man..what a nice riding car.

Thanks for the review...Now I'm definately going from AGX's to Illuminas when it gets colder. (the AGX ride really sucks in the cold weather)

i've heard that the tokico blues have a short lifespan on lowered cars...would this be the same for the illumina's?
i have ground controls...looking for maybe 1.75-2" drop...would the illumina's get blown?
i know the kyb agx has longevity...but i think illumina's give a more comfy ride.

They can be set to be like the blues...but they can be adjusted to be very tight.
98GLEMaxed - got the shocks and struts on ebay. If you were going to do the Illumina rears southwestautoworks has them for a very reasonable price.

I'm glad to see you pointing that out. I've always thought that Tok blues had too much of an undeserved bad rep. I guess it was just those rear shocks. Whether it be Blues or Illuminas, Tokico N H&R N Maxima make for one sweet ride for the street.
If I were to auto-X exclusively, I would do something like Eibachs and KYB-AGXs. But how can you auto-X exclusively with a Maxima?

I would get a much stiffer suspension than this if I were into auto-x...but as far as drag strip it will have minimal nose dive or lift...but nowhere near what JIC's would do..your talking a totally different ballpark
