I did a ton of searches and didnt find anything that gave good directions on it. I would like to just some simple directions that will get the job done. I also heard you can get 1156 blubs and not worry about rewiring, anyone know the truth to that?

1156

I did this a few days ago. Just get an 1156 bulb and snip one of the nubs on the side off. It will fit right in and will be as bright as the headlights.

You'll find instructions in the How2 section of MaximaDriver.com for rewiring corner lights and many other things!

Yeah,

that's the best way to go. You might need a file or something to smooth the edge after you snip the side off though.

So I can go buy come 60 cent bulb and snip a nub off of it and it will work? Will it run any hotter or melt anything? This would be great.

I did mine using Cheston's instructions. Because its using the second filament it runs hotter and brighter but it won't melt anything.

Does anyone have detailed instruction on how to clip that nub off. I guess it can't be that complicated but I need to know which one to clip. I went to MaximaDriver.com and they just have instructions on how to rewire them.

easy to do

just get a 1156 bulb and file awy one of the nibble. put it in the socket and it is brighter. when you rewire it use 27w filment, when you get the 1156 bulb it is 27w no overheating or melting. running mine for a good few months, no problem at all. simple and easy go back to stock change of a bulb.
