To shave OR not to shave
Well, I just picked up the lens material to do the clear tail mod, and I was wondering....
And, by shaving, will I decrease the amount I could sell my car for? I am not sure that people will like the badges taken off. I don't know

Shave the hamburger, leave the maxima. then if you get tired of it, shave it. you can always add it back later. Definatley take off any dealership stickers!!!!!
Were lucky to beably to cleanly shave off our emblems w/ out doin bodywork. alot of cars have holes after they remove their emblems and gotta look stupid or pay to get a bodyshop to do it. i say take advantage.

i never understood the leaving on the maxima and shaving the nissan. I left the burger in the rear and shaved off the maxima emblems. I think that looks the best and very sport like (can u say bmw (emblem in center, nuthing underneathe)) Wow i just put parentheses inside each other...zzzzzz... i must be tired... o yea, anyways, like i said, shave off maxima leave the burger on top center...youll be money.

does anyone have a pic of their a$$ shaved for a 95-96 max, i was thinking about this also
and would agree that on the 97+ max that a shaved a$$ is the way to go , because the trunks all flat and looks nicer
but im not sure how it would look on my a$$ without emblems because my 95 trunk got the indent on the bottom

Razor Burn
I shaved off my burger recently and my paint was discolored underneath it in the shape of the burger!! I clearcoat compounded it to try and get it to blend and then tried to waxed it and clean it...couldnt get my damn a$$ to clean up! So I guess beware when you shave...any ideas to make it work?

I have a black 98 and I want shave the emblems and put on a 2k+ black MAXIMA emblem on it and paint the key hole black. As far as the best way to remove the emblems, get hair dryer, heat gun, or a hot summer day and some fishing line. Go under the emblems with the line when the glue is soft with a sawing motion like flossing your teeth. Make sure when you're done to clean off the glue residue good then wax it.
