keeping corner lights on bright all the time, not just w/ blinker

I am still missing something on this mod about rewiring the corner lights on the 95 maxima. someone told me all I have to do is snip one of the nubs off the bulb, the one for the lower wattage and thats it. How will that make it work at the higher wattage all the time? wouldnt that just cause it to only work at the higher wattage when you are using the blinker? Can someone tell me how to correctly do this, or is that all there is to it?

The corner lights, right next to the head lights, have a 1157 bulb in them. This bulb has two filliments, one which is dim, the other bright. The bulb is regularly postioned so that the dim filament works. the nubs on the bulb make it impossible to put the bulb in backwards... unless you cut off the top nub, and then try replacing the bulbs backwards, so that the brighter filment is being used. this isn't that hard to do and really doesn't include any wire change at all.

Sorry about using your threaed but I got a question... the left corner is using both filaments and is very bright while the right corner is only use one and is very dim but when I turn on my right turn signal than the right side start using both filaments?? So this how it's suppose to be and how to I fix whichever side is the bad one. Thanks

OH THOSE NUBS!!!!! I had been thinking I had to somehow snip off one of the 2 on the bottom of the bulb, not the 2 on the side!! OH OH OH!! And also, are the corner lenses on the 97+ maximas clearer than the 95/96 cause in that link you have there the bulb looks brighter than on my car in the before and after shots. I have crystal hyper white bulbs, maybe he used a diff. one??
