Dual Exhaust???

Ok since now I am almost all done with making my car look good.. rims, grille, lights etc and my sound system is up and running I am moving on to the last stage. Performance so I was wondering has anyone here purchased the dual exhaust of CustoMaxima.com?? Is it worth the money, pretty big diffrence in performance and does it make that nice deep sound?? All help appreciated.

Some people here have it on their car. I know that Redmax has it. I think that's his name. He was the guinea pig if you will, for their exhaust. I don't think it yields much HP at all. If I were you, I would just buy a y-pipe and intake. That is pretty good HP there. Plus, that would make your car LOUD!

166 shipped

Also, just make your own duals, its sooo freaking easy and it cost me about 1/6th the price of custommaximas duals.

Most exhaust shops should be able to do it for you, so shop around and get some pricing, I guarnetee it'll be less than half of what custommaxima charges.

I would say that looking at the bumper, he cut it himself. If not, he had someone do it. that is a stock bumper. If you look at the cut, you can see that it is just slightly mis-shaped. Or else the exhaust is just sitting funny

Fake duals will: weigh you down (- HP) and give you looks.
Y pipe will: give you HP and no looks.

negative...

Unless you have them, i dont think you can talk for everyone.

I think it freed up at least a coupla horsepower, definately didnt hinder me. Ive seen the gains during a race, nothing amazing and earthshattering, but its there...

maximamoose- i dont have 2 mufflers, its only one, its pretty damn hard to fit 2 mufflers under the Max, and its just pointless if you did.

madmannd- yes, i cut it out myself. And that picture was taken the day it got outta the shop, which has been modified since. You cannot see the muffler anymore, and the other cutout is about as perfect as i can possibly get it, i'll post more pics of my setup when this rain here in FL decides to chill out, been raining EVERY single day all day for about a week+ straight

I don't think I said you had 2 mufflers, did I? I didn't mean to if I did, but you have dual exhaust. Is the exhaust louder than it was before you undertook this project?

no, actually you didnt say that. I misread, you asked if it was louder than a single (meaning tipped??) yeah anyways, sorry.

But yes, its louder. No way around that. I wanted something louder. Its quiet when i want it to be, but when i get on her, its get aggressive sounding. Theres minimal if any drone, so its good in that department.

yes, but unlike a camaro, you CANNOT see my muffler. You have to literally bend down and look under to see my muffler, its black, unlike my Sig Pic. All you see is 2 tips...the way it should be...
