Help...Relay chatter after battery replace

The car is a 97 maxima GXE. The battery went dead (son left the lights on), I disconnected the old one. A new one after connection was also dead.
My luck, when I purchased I did not have a volt meter to check, this brand new one had three (!) dead cells.
Had to take this one back and then put in another brand new battery.

I then had my son turn the ignition to the on position, but not start (all the red and amber lights to go on just to check power). At that time I heard a chatter (clicking) from the back of the engine compartment (I had the hood up). I traced this to a relay on top of the engine back just in front of the fire wall. There is a cluster of relays by the intake throttle body, the relay in question is about 10 inches to the passenger side from the cluster of relays. The relay will chatter and click for about 4-5 second. I never heard this before, but then I have only had the car a few months and this may have been hidden due to startup noise and the hood being down.
The relay is hooked up to something mechanical, there are several hoses tubes involved. I think this is part of intake, but off to the side? The car starts and works OK, but the noise is bothering me.

Does anyone know what this relay is? I will post a picture when I find out how.

Thats the IACV valve doing it's job. Perfectly normal, leave it alone.
