MEVI owners pls read... RE: MEVI with NO JWT ECU...

I have a MEVI on my 1995 SE 5-spd, however no JWT ECU yet. I was wondering what you guys shift at, while at the track when you had this setup. Before the MEVI I shifted at about 6200-6300RPM and I ran that to a 14.6 at about 96mph (shifting into 4th gear before the end). However now with the ECU, am I able to shift later, at say 6500RPM or 6600RPM (I believe that the rev limiter is at 6700RPM stock?) I found myself crossing the finish line at 6550RPM or so in 3rd gear. Is this similar to what you guys had experienced or am I going about it all wrong here?

The car feels faster, but I don't know if I am actually slower than before (14.6) because I don't have the ECU...

Thanks for any advice!
