Instead of buying a y pipe, i just took my stock y pipe off, cut the cats off, and bolted the pipe back on. Do i have the some added horsepower compared to a y pipe i could of bought for like $200???

 

doubtfull. the stock cat is still very restrictive at the T connector. down to 1 an a 1/4 inch unles i'm mistaken...its only 180 for 20 hp its worth buying the real thing....btw the only way you'll know is if you dyno. and did one before and do one now.....imo
