I had EVAP problem codes. Dont remember the the code number though.
Had CEL lights on also.
I went under the car and removed all the EVAP parts. There are three parts right? The Black box, white valve, and the electronic sensor.
Anyway, I shaked Black box and tapped onto the floor. This one had rattling noise with small black particles comming out of the box. They seemed small black rocks. Oh well I left them in the box and I did not want to let those small black particles out before I know what they are.

Took the while valve cover off. Man, there were lots of dirt there. I cleaned the dirt and put back the cover.

The sensor, I just tapped to the ground several times.

Placed back everything, reset the computer and VOILA, CEL gone, no light so far for a week.

The difference that I noticed is that before when I had CEL lights, car was hard to start. I had to try at least 2 to 3 times to start the car. Now, it starts normally.

I wonder if what I did had any effects. Tapping the parts to the floor several times?

 

The valve that you cleaned was your fix. Nice job.

 

is the valve the part held on by x2 10mm bolts and harness on the side of the black box? cause i had cleaned mine out and i still have the code

I found the canister but theres just absoloutley nothing white like it near it. any ideas?

 

Is this the box that is by the rear wheel on the drivers side?
