I am looking into a way to install a movable mount that will hold my laptop. I was thinking of something that could swing out of the glove box. It only has to be one plane, sort of like a table to sit the laptop on. The laptop is small (12" powerbook). I searched the org and couldn't find much of anything about people doing this.

 

Not to sound to redneck'ish but you could just go to home depot to see if you could construct something. like modify sheet matal to YOUR exact preference, hinges, maybe a drawer roller to roll out. i dunno, just an idea.

btw, i think most of those sitting laptops or mid air screens are specially custom made for them.
