Code from RVM UDP

Anyone know how to fix a.... 0407?
(Crankshaft pulley position sensor)
My friend just installed the RVM UDP on my Max. Shortly there-after I caught a CEL. ANyone know if it'll just go away... Resetting the ecu doesn't work. ---Lost

a code is not all you will get from that pulley. Wait till you get your oil leak.

take it off. Its garbage. I got ripped off by RVM and hundreds of other members. Got a Definitive pulley and noticed the extra horsepower immediately.

So what's the problem with the pulley? How is it different? I have yet to see an oil leak.

My RVM pulley starts fine and has not slowed me down toooo much. Plus it doesn't leak. Its been on for about 4 months now.

with the rvm pulley the car has hard starts and throws off a cel. Timing rings were off and some owners claim without a sleeve on the pulley its only a matter of time you'll experience an oil leak.

You probably got a bad timing ring like I did. Unfortunately, RVM is not answering my emails and appears to be unwilling to replace the timing ring--this after they initially said they would send me a new one. Fockers!

This is intersting. I called RVM the other day. and they told me that they don't carry the pulleys anymore. Now I know why they would say that. I would say just put back your Stock pulley. It really not going to change much on your car. If you really wan't good performace get an Y-Pipe , this what a firend told me once......

I feel i have to question your mechanics abilities or shops workmenship then.... Were the proper tools used? was anything damaged prior to or during installation?

99maximagxe: Got a pic of the definitive?
