I was also wondering this so I did a search. There was a topic that debated over copper plugs vs. platinum plugs. For me, I decided to go with the factory platinum plugs and just forget about changing them for another 60k miles.

supposedly copper is a better conductor and provides more gains (not noticable) but does not long as last as platinums.
however copper plugs are about 1/6th the price...so overall, they are a better buy (cheaper, better performance)
and has to be replaced twice as often...which still comes out to cheaper and better performing

just get the NKG plats..coppers are good too, especially if running N020, but coppers have half the life, but...also have half the price. I lucked out..keep an eye on ebay, I picked up 6 NGK plats for $37 shipped
