People that have or had an ACT clutch please read! IMPORTANT
I have been doing a lot of researching on high performance clutches lately since i am in the market. I have noticed that 95% of people with high performance clutches have act. There is a few people with the JWT clutch which i have'nt heard anything bad about, everyone with centerforce hates them so that puts them out,and exedy stage one(heard is a little soft) which is supposed to be good but everyone who has them just put them on so who really knows? Act hdmm seems to have the best holding power and longest history on the .org, but also have heard about alot of problems with them too. I know i have heard people say "people ruin their trannies not the clutches" but also understand the shockload act is capable of due to its high clamping force might be to much for our trannies to take. I am going to start a poll to see how many people have had problems with their act and how many miles were on the ACT, so please vote!
Please post what problems you had with the clutch and how long you had the clutch when this happened. Also it would be good to get some posts of people that have had these clutches for a long time without incident. Anyone with any experiences with an act clutch please post. Lets make this post a usefull tool to everyone thinking about buying an ACT clutch, thanks

I did search for like 2hours i just thought it would be nice for future people that search to see everyones expierences in one thread. Also not everyone really talked about how many miles were on the clutch when they had problems.

Hi
You didn't hear this from me ... but I believe that ACT is coming out with a new sprung clutch that is good to over 500 lb-ft of torque... how it is classified, I am not sure. How well it works, I don't know ... yet
