can a microcabin filter be installed in a '95? I've seen retrofit installs at the dealer.

Also my brother has a '99 maxima with some moldy smell in it. Does that come standard with a cabin filter?

 

Not sure, but I made one for a few dollars. I bought a shop-vac filter, cut it to size, and secured it to the cabin recirculation intake. The result: filtered, recirculated air.

The cabin intake is located behind and just up from the glove compartment (in my 1998).
Not sure about the '99
