Air conditioner Part NAME

What's that thing that holds that gas it's on same side as steering wheel. Where the container has 2 metal rods coming out? I forgot the name of that part..it broke..let all the refrigerant out.or whatever it's called. is it hard to fix? Gas i can get..just installing the part again.

is it a reciever/dryer???looks like a cylinder with a sensor on top???mounted almost under a battery

that's the one, i need to install a new one..but where do you put the lubrication and everything...because when mine exploded it leaked oil UP. How does the lubrication work..etc

you should take it to a professional to work on your a/c system you need the proper equipment to vacuum the system and charge it with freon and a proper amount of oil although,most likely you dont need additional oil..

there's plenty of oil that popped out..on air box..on radiator..lots of parts.:-D...yah but i guess i want to save on labor by removing/installing the parts..and they can do the rest..

most likely the new part comes with oil already.if you mess it up,you'll have to spend more money than anticipated.just my 2 cents hope it works out.

does anyone know, vacuuming comes before or after the accumulator/filter is on.

after everything is assembled together.vacuuming is done to boil moisture out of the system.should be done for at least 20 min.

so basically aside from changing accumulator, i won't have to do anything..they'll just have to boil/fill with coolant? wonder how much $ that will save me
