Car is getting old. I began to have this noise issues with my 96 as well. The most annoying for me were the A-pillars. I just stuck a few rags in there to make things a little tight, and the noise went away. I have also done this to my doors, even after installing Dynamat.

1996blackmax,
Where did you get Dynamat? It's for sound insulation right? Is it difficult to install? How do you like it so far?
Thanks in advance.

One of my friends helped me out with his employee discount, he use to work at one of the bigger electronic stores. I bought the regular bulk Dynamat and did the trunk with it, especial attention was paid to the trunk lid. I can't remember exactly how much I paid, but it was at a substatial discount. I did the doors like a year later. The door kits cost around $90 dollars, I paid a little over $30 bucks for the Dynamat Extreme door kit. I bought mine for both sound insulation and to stop my car from rattling when I turned up my stereo. I am very happy with the results, I've had it on for years now. I can turn up my stereo all the way up and all the rattling I had from the trunk went away(I now have a little rattle from the roof, maybe Dynaliner is in order, or maybe more rags). I have a 12" solobaric L7 bolted in the rear corner of my trunk on the drivers side firing toward the back of the car (the trunk lid stays nice and quiet now), I had a Kicker DX700 that put out over 700 watts RMS pushing the woofer.

The install was not too difficult, just time consuming. Be prepared to have some sore finger tips. I would highly recommend the Dynamat roller or anything like it, and a heat gun (the gun makes it go faster, and it sticks better). The reaons I used rags was because there was some squeaks here and there, nothing the Dynamat could fix, the panels just needed to have a tighter fit and the old rags worked. If you browse on Ebay, I believe that people are selling Dynamat there for very good prices, a lot lower than the local audio shops.
