Is it me or do Maximas really have bad sound insulation. I mean, I hear so much road noise when I drive down the highway. I know my tires aren't making all the noise, but even when my windows are all the way up, I can hear so much unwanted noise when I drive, I find myself always having to turn up the volume on the radio. Is there any way I can get rid of this? I heard of something called Dynomats that are put inside you doors to reduce some sound, but would this really work? I have seen a Maxima on here with that setup, but I forgot your name, so if your reading this, let me know whats up? As everyone else, any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Before I put 17s on my GLE, everyone would compliment me on how quiet the car was. No one does that any more. Coincidence? El if I know.

i have dynamatted my entire car, and i have a 97 gxe, it might road noise a bit quieter, to such an extent that now i mainly hear wind noise instead. also, the engine noise is really unstoppable, especially under WOT. please email me if you have any questions about sound deadening, or want to see some pics i took of mine..i took about 50 pictures in total. i did the entire floor, trunk, rear deck, left side doors, and firewall. i will be doing my other two doors as soon as my 5 rolls of hi-temp mastic comes in. its basically the same as dynamat but without their name on it. so i got that stuff for $13 a 12sq. ft. roll. please email me for more info.

It's your rims and low profile tires. They transmit more road noise than stockers. When I got my rims, I heard the road noise increase dramatically.
