My airbag light just started flashing out of the blue. The car hasn't been bumped or hit, and it has only 40k miles. A cheap-o obd scanner doesn't seem to pull up any airbag-related codes (only a knock sensor code that I didn't know anything about). Are there any common things that I can look for to solve this problem? I checked for the most obvious ones - fuses and relays

There is a technical service bulletin on this problem the side air bag wires are too short and it sets off the air bag light you can reset the light but most likely it will keep coming back on do a search and you will find numerous threads on this and the air bag repair is supposed to be covered under the power train warranty 5/60k miles i still havent had mine repaired yet i did reset it and like i said it keeps coming back on
