Errr...what's the question?

Lemme guess at the answers - get a flare-nut wrench; get some PB Blaster to loosen up the nuts; yes, they're easy to install; yes, you need to bleed the brakes when done.

I didn't use a flare-nut for the end to the car... It may depend on your road conditions over the years.

Allow me to clarify - I didn't start the thread - it was just posted with the title and no information in the 1st post so I took a shot in the dark. I didn't use a flare either but kinda wish I had cuz I rounded the passenger-side nut a bit.

Stupid org, I started the thread but for some reason it didn't post my original statement..hmm..

Anyway, I need to know how to install SS brake lines. Can you guys list all tools needed to complete the install?

Also, I thought you needed a special tool to bleed the brakes? Can you guys tell me how to bleed the brakes?

I already answered before you asked your question. Bleed your brakes according to the instructions in the FSM or a Hayne's book. No, speed bleeders aren't necessary but they make it a bit easier.

So I don't need a special tool to bleed the brakes?

GRRRRR!!! I'm self-defeating here but your bleeding order is:
RR
LF
LR
RF

That of course is dependent upon your willingness to accept the Nissan FSM for a 97 as accurate and correct.

What's the process?
Don't get any brake fluid on your paint or you won't have paint there anymore.

Get some clear tubing and a jar or bottle or whatever to drain the fluid into.
Make sure, throughout the process, that the master cyclinder doesn't get dry.
Put tubing on bleeder valve at appropriate wheel.
Someone pumps the brakes a few (5) times and then holds the pedal down.
You then open the bleeder valve and drain fluid into bottle/container.
You then close bleeder valve.
Person then releases brake pedal at a normal pace - don't just slam off it.
Repeat as needed for each given corner until clear fluid with no bubbles comes out at each point.
If you let the master cylinder go empty, it's your own damn fault - you were warned.

You'd be well advised to pickup a book of some sort. I prefer Hayne's for checking on routine things and I rely on the FSM for more detailed information. For the money you'll save by having the .org here and work you can do on your own with a good manual, you're foolish not to spend the money on those things.

That is all. Next time, use the search feature.

WTF is special? Flare nut wrench or vice grips or robo grips or crecent wrench or whatever the F you want to use.

You want a 'special' tool - go buy or make a one-man pressure bleeder.
