Did the 96 Maxima come in two tone interior? I drove 96 model today that had tan leather interior but with a brown dash and center console. Is this normal? I've never seen one like this and it seemed kind of weird.

Also I ran a carfax and couldn't tell if it was a GLE or GXE. No white gauges so it's not a SE.

here are the options it has

Automatic
Auto Climate control
Leather/dual power seats
Spoiler
alloy wheels, kind of honeycomb like, not the 5 spokes
Bose CD/Tape/Speakers
Moonroof
keyless entry

Any ideas?

Also it has 137k on it,
the dealer was asking $5900 and I talked them down to $5000 is that a decent price?

I had a white 96 with tan cloth and brown dash and console. Not an SE

Yeah - same as mine. Tan seats/doors etc and brown dash and center console. That's normal. What you have there is a GLE.

I have that Combo too and mine's an SE...I like the brown dash and tan leather

Just to give you a ballpark figure, I bought my 95 GLE last month with 118k miles for $4500. I think we got a great deal, good luck.

Well i used to have a 96 GLE auto and the same exact stuff you had fully loaded etc w/ 137k on it. Unfortunately the transmition blew and now it does not move. heh now im stuck w/ a 1990 explorer. I sure do miss my max

But the car he's looking at has leather and honeycomb wheels, it's a GLE.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I found out it's a GLE like most said.

Now what about the price?
is it decent or with the high mileage does everyone think it's worth less than 5K
