grill swap question

quick question people; if you're swapping a 96 grill for a 97, do you need to do a bumper switch or is it a straight swap? all input appreciated!

You don't have to put on a '97-'99 bumper, but if you don't you have to modify the grill. You need to shave 1/4" off the bottom of both posts so that the hood will shut properly.
