Performance Chip

New user, first post, so I apologize in advance for asking a question that has probably been addressed here many times before. I am looking for performance chip upgrade to the ECU on my 1998 Maxi SE. I'm not looking for anything really radical, but I'd like to have the same or better throttle response that my '95 Maxi had. I looked at Stillen's website and couldn't find anything. Did a Google search and found a place in the UK, but after finding this site I decided there are probably many users here with chip advice and recommendations. Thanks for your help.

Jim Wolf Tech makes one as does G-force and JET. It is generally siad around hear that the JET is a waste of money and does not show and good gains, esp compared to the JWT or G-force. And G-force has stopped selling thier ECU's for the most part, so you would have to find one used if you wanted it. So JWT is pretty much your only choice. They cost around $560 from www.cattman.com

I don't think anyone makes ECU upgrades for 97-99 maximas. they're only for the 95-96. I believe that the reason is that the newer (97-99) maximas use OBDII.

Don't forget that the JWT performance chip does fit a 97 maxima if the tranny and model match
