doctoring ignition coils

doctoring ignition coils
is there any way to service ignition coils rather than buy new ones? it seems as if it could be possible........anyone have any experience with this?

Service as in fix them? Or just check to see if they are working properly?

service like fix them....i remember reading a post several months ago about taking them apart and fixing them but now i cannot find it.
